901 N 9th St. Temple, TX
About the home:
This darling home from the 1920’s was originally quite small at 1056 square feet and only 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. It sits on a gorgeous corner lot in the heart of the historic district, but has never really been maintained. Anna grew up not far from the house and recalls it being a bit of an eye-sore. But…the best part about this home (besides the stunning roof line and updates we are adding) has got to be the yard! Gorgeous oak and pecan trees offer ample shade and are perfect for hanging twinkle lights for you to enjoy.
What makes this home special:
So many things! The house is perfectly situated on a large corner lot with mature oak and pecan trees. The home was originally built in the 1920’s and we are keeping the charm of the home while bringing it into our modern times. New plumbing, new electric, new roof, new appliances, new bathrooms….you get the idea. We are doing it all! We even added a primary suite with a huge bathroom, walk-in closet AND a mud and laundry room. We chose a pale blue/green (Beach Glass, Benjamin Moore) for the outside of the home and the trim will be a soft taupe white (Swiss Coffee, Benjamin Moore). The colors will be carried through to the interior with a beautiful mosaic tile welcoming you into the mudroom through the back door and it will be used again in the secondary bathroom. The kitchen will have a splash of color with a deep teal on all the cabinetry (Aegean Teal, Benjamin Moore Color of the Year 2022) and a farm style sink with antique brass hardware. French doors off the dining room welcomes you into your beautiful yard with a large oak tree perfect for twinkle lights. With windows galore, you are able to truly feel the outside beauty of your yard. Last but not least, you can unwind from a long day in your soaking tub in a soothing spa like primary bathroom. This house has it all!
