About the Project:
This was one of the first houses we saw the very first time we explored Western Trails. What attracted me to the house was the prominent placement on a corner lot and the long, rambling front porch.
What makes this project special:
We bought this home from the kindest gentleman who had inherited from his brother, who had inherited it from their mother, who was the original owner. It was a bit of a time capsule and we have taken great pride in bringing this home gracefully and stylishly into the 2020’s. The location— a very short walk to Central Market and even quicker drive to 71/290— is hard to beat, putting all of central and south Austin at your fingertips.
We opened up the dated floorplan, added an enormous laundry room and converted the original carport into a 2-car garage. The new home is a 1645 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath on a large corner lot.
